All of the presentations have come together nicely. It is interesting to see how much information has been provided for all of the aspects of globalization, both the good and the bad. Congrats to everyone who has presented thus far, and good luck to those who will be presenting next Monday.

I think that everyone did a great job. You could tell by the amount of information in the presentations that groups worked very hard. Personally, i was very impressed with the food group. I think the way that they engaged the audience was very well done. Good job guys!

I think that everyone did a great job by going into depth about the topic and giving great examples. Good job on those groups that have already presented. And looking forward to see the rest on monday.

I think the presentations were done very well. I liked how people incorporated the readings and outside sources into their presentations. Going along with my presentation(food) i learned so much that i didn't know about. I was able to use this information in my other classes. I see myself looking at labels to see where my food came from. I enjoyed this project, and good job to everyone!

I think that those groups who have presented did an excellent job of presenting. I am looking forward to those groups that are yet to present, particularly the other health group. It is interesting to see how ideas are spreading the world. I also find it really interesting to see how everything is linked in some way to the McDonaldization of Society, even the presentation had some of the terms from that reading integrated into their presentation as did the first health group. I whole heartedly agree that the food group had the best way of engaging the audience with the food activity, and that the Cultural Imperialism group presentation was the most thorough. The corporations presentation was well done as well, but I have to say that the video on the pills being flushed down the toilet was the most shoking video out of all the ones shown. It's a disgrace that America is wasting money like that, where there are people all over the world who can benefit from those medications. Anyhow, kudos to all the groups who have gone and best of luck to those who are yet to go!

Respectfully Submitted,
Shamus

Hi everyone,

I thoroughly enjoyed the presentations, too. The pills down the drain was indeed shocking, not least because, as Shamus noted, these are highly toxic chemicals...

I do have some questions for discussion and I'm going to post them in a new blog. Please everyone do join in, even if they don't relate to your own presentation. This will be a good opportunity to boost that participation grade :-)

Again, I very much enjoyed viewing them. They are by far the best presentations on globalization I have seen!

Good job to everyone who presented last Monday! Everyone seemed to have put a lot of effort into the presentations. Overall, the groups went into quite a bit of depth about a lot of smaller issues beyond the general bigger picture issues, which made the presentations much more interesting and enjoyable to listen to.

Good luck to the remaining groups!

All of the presentations were very interesting and thoughtful.
It was interesting for me to see how students in America think about Mcdonaldization and spreading Western ideology.

The video, showing flushing medication was very shocking to see wasting money. One comment for the food or health presentations, along with the wasting medications, developed countries are wasting so much food. It is also related to people's health and food around the world. Also, ideology of consumption, wasting food, is related to MacDonaldization, I think.

I agree with everyone in that you could definately tell everyone put a lot of effort into their projects. I especially liked how the first group involved the whole class in their presentation. The topics were very eye opening and well presented.

I liked last 2 presentations the best,
especially u-tube "Did you know? Shift happens." It was very interesting. And I enjoyed comparecement between developed country and developing country in the "Health" presentation. It is an eye opening info.
